i had juz done my interface designs n now im doin my user-test.d objective of tis user-test is for me 2 enhance my designs which is very important 4me 2 improve myself not only in tis project but oso others...
basically my interface designs r abt the story of a rainbow. the full version of the story had been posted in my blog laz mth. so 4 those who interested of knowing d story, can hav a look. d title of tht blog is 'folklore, legend n myth'..oh yea..b4 i 4get, my target audience is primary children(age:7-12 yrs old)..n lastly, i hope i'l b able 2 5 out my weakness, strength n so on at the end of tis user-test after evaluate the feedbacks n results...n of coz, i'l enhance my designs base on d feedbacks..

sweet and simple will be fine...make house bigger and straighter(weird position...as though about to collapse)
ur questions too long and pro aldi, i m going to make it shorter, the color is comfortable, everything is fine, but i think u need a significant character in ur main menu, so that children will remember it, for example, look at look at the blue fat cat think of doreamon, sth like this lo, i noe my example is bad... hahaha... and don worry, can noe is the explanation for the formation of rainbow, can be understood... but as ur fren said, survey from small kids la, cos my noe from their perception...

i. add in some animations, kids like it.
ii. embedded some interactive characters in ur product (when mouse move on it, the character will move/animate, a tooltips will appear give some/ direction/moving/voicing)
iii. ur title of each pages put on the top dun at the bottom.As a theory from a research, ppl always scan thing in Z direction.so the most important part should be on the start of every page.
iv. Maintain navigations at the same side.Children always prefer easy and organise navigation controller. maintain it at the same side.dun put ur navigation button on bottom if ur main page is already designed 2 to keep on left of each pages.

I think you should ask children that is 7-12 yrs old because they are your target. But overall for me, everything is fine because it really can understand by everyone easily, so i think there is no problem for children. Keep it up. You done a great job=)

it is colourful n kids jz love colour, the character looks friendly n tat make sure it does not scared kids away (peace),the typography used is COMIC SANS MS? is good that it does not look too serious as TIMES NEW ROMAN.

by da way..i saw the sound/volume icon top left of the snapshots..so i suppose there will be sounds n musics playin along...may be as the story displaying...some voice is reading the lines for the kids sounds behpai..haha...choose some calm n mother nature sounds...bird chirping.water flowing.etc etc those sounds by mother nature will be good..for certain scene..

i think you should improve your navigation because i found i am confused. like how to get back main page, read story. Somemore, why below that part got two rainbow? i know one is logo. and another i really dont know what it use for. And quite much of rainbow there in one page. Or you might put all rainbow together. don't separate them in parts. that's my opinion. hope your final will turn out well.
But i like your loading page.

Perhaps have an interesting storyline that could be included to capture interest. And storyline with a motive so children could play with a purpose. Something that satisfies children after playing it. Perhaps they would want to play more than just once (; hope this helps!
